They Prayed Together

During The Love Challenge I received a call from a family member.  In order to maintain his confidentiality we will call him GJ. GJ disclosed to me that him and his wife were having some ups and downs so he invited his wife to participate in The Love Challenge with him. GJ expressed that he wanted to be a better husband, that he wanted to make things right with his wife, and that he wanted to get his marriage "back on track."  He admitted that he had done things to hurt his wife and that she had done things to hurt him, but that he wanted to move forward and build a brighter present and future for him and his family.  GJ shared that The Love Challenge helped him and his wife open up their lines of communication with one another.

GJ disclosed that on Day 8, Let Us Pray, of The Love Challenge him and his wife prayed together for the first time in their relationship.  He expressed that on that night they prayed together, embraced each other, laid in bed together and held each other all night long.  He shared that things were peaceful, calm, and that they did not make love that night.  GJ exclaimed that night was the best sleep he had had in years! At this time during the phone call my eyes were filled with tears.  Tears of joy to know that he and his wife were seeking God. I am so grateful to GJ and his testimony.  I pray that The Love Challenge is simply the beginning to many more nights of prayer, peace and rest for him and his wife.  Thank you GJ for sharing! God bless you and your family.

I asked GJ what would he tell other people about The Love Challenge and this is what he had to say, “When two people are truly in The Love Challenge together and make the effort to utilize every aspect of the challenge, all the small things that could be a challenge to your relationship will and can be placed aside to make your marriage or relationship flourish.”
