Faithfulness
Faithfulness.Faithfulness. Today I challenge you to be faithful to your loved one. To be faithful is to be loyal and constant. Faithfulness is doing what you are called to do even when you don't feel like doing it. Doing what your loved one wants/needs even when you don't feel like it. You can't wait until you feel like doing something. I challenge you to be faithful in all ways with your loved one. Be faithful in your role as a mother, a father, a wife, a husband, a friend, etc. What is your role in your relationship with your loved one? If you are not sure of your role now is the time to identify it. Once you know your role and have agreed to it you are responsible to walk in it. Are you the financial leader in your relationship? If so, I challenge you to be faithful in that role. Are you the chef, the house cleaner, the prayer warrior? Whatever and whoever you are in your relationship I challenge you to be faithful in that position. Be faithful to your word. If you tell your loved one you are going to do something, do it! I understand that life happens, sometimes we have to change our word, and that is ok. I just ask one thing....be sure to go back and let your loved know what has changed, why, and what the new word will be.
Just like many others I have always thought that being faithful in a relationship specifically defined not having any outside affairs that would not be pleasing to my loved one. Life has taught me that Faithfulness goes beyond outside affairs. Faithfulness is about doing what God has called me to do in all aspects of my life, especially with my loved one. Let's be honest, we all slack in some areas. However, today I am challenging you to get back on track and get back to being faithful in all you do and say in your relationship with your loved one.
If you are in a relationship and have been participating in The Love Challenge my expectation is that you are being faithful in your relationship and not having any outside affairs! If you are not being faithful to your loved one at this time STOP the challenge. Unfaithful behavior is not tolerated and is NOT a display of real love. If you happen to be unfaithful in your relationship and are ready to STOP all extra affairs today is your day! Recommit yourself to your loved one.
