Good Stuff 2014

In June 2014 celebrity nursery designer, Shalena Smith, shared on her blog a new tradition her family was starting for the month of June.  It was called June Bloom Blessings.  On her blog she shared that her family was going to combat June Gloom by sharing daily with one another things that they are thankful for. Shalena invited family, friends, and her readers to take part in this new tradition.  My family joined in and made June Bloom Blessings a part of our daily routine after dinner.  We used our time after dinner to share with one another  the things/people that we are grateful for.  June Bloom Blessings was a Blessing within itself! Talking to my family daily about the things we are grateful for really helped us to see just how blessed we are. We were able to recognize that there are so many things in our lives and around us to be thankful for; from the big to the small! In light of how awesome Shalena Smith's June Bloom Blessings has blessed us we want to keep the blessings flowing. My family and I have decided to decorate and maintain a 2014 Good Stuff Jar to keep note of all the good things that continue to happen to us this year.

What exactly is a Good Stuff Jar?

It's just that; a jar (or any container) that you use to keep note of all the good things that are happening to you and your family.

What's the purpose of a Good Stuff Jar?

To make note of all the good stuff that happens to you daily and to be able to go back and revisit those moments, especially at the end of the year.

How to get started: Find  an empty jar and repurpose it (decorate it and personalize it) Add a note each time something good happens (keep the jar in a place where you will see it regularly) Read about all the good stuff that has happened to you at the end of the year

We created our Good Stuff Jar by using a mason jar.  We decorated our mason jar and have begun to use post-it notes to write down the good stuff that happens to us. The good stuff you place inside of your jar can be big or small; from starting a new business to getting a good parking space at the grocery store!

Please join us on this quest! Create your Good Stuff Jar and begin writing down all the good things that are happening in your life.  You can share your posts with us by hash-tagging them as #GoodStuffJar2014. The more good you see, the more good comes to you!
