Pillow Talk. Pillow Talk. Today I challenge you to go to bed at the same time as your significant other and have some pillow talk. Pillow talk is a great way to enjoy each others presence through conversation. It is intimate talk between you and your loved one. Your pillow talk can be silly, sweet, and/or a time for each other to clear your mind. Pillow talk is not a time to argue and/or fight with your loved one. Save that for another time! During pillow talk you can ask your loved one about their life dreams, their goals, what brings them joy, and anything else your heart desires.
I understand that our daily routine and lifestyles can present barriers that may make it difficult for us to go to bed at the same time as our loved one. Remember, The Love Challenge requires us to get out of our comfort zone, to make some sacrifices, and to do some things different so that we may get different results! Here’s some troubleshooting for some common scenarios that may make pillow talk a challenge within itself:
-Significant other working late? Set your alarm to wake up when he/she gets home.
-Significant other working nightshift? Have pillow talk via Skype, FaceTime, and/or talking on the phone before bedtime.
-Significant other goes to bed too early/too late? Well for tonight you do too! Or you can ask your loved one to adjust their bedtime for you tonight.
-Significant other upset and doesn’t want to talk? That’s ok. You can do most of the talking. You can also ask most of the questions during pillow talk.
Enjoy your pillow talk!
